Can Conveyor System for Fresh Dynamics Ltd

The Challenge

Fresh Dynamics Ltd required two high-capacity conveyor systems to transfer 22,000 cans per hour from an existing filling line through to a retort room with basket loaders and unloaders. The system needed to sweep cans off the line after filling but before the pasteuriser, while integrating smoothly with existing production equipment. The customer also wanted to reuse on-site Movex Sideflexing Chain-belt (LFA 260TAB K) where possible.

EQM’s Process and Solution

EQM Industrial designed and manufactured a hygienic stainless steel conveyor system using Movex components to complement the existing plant. The project included:

• Two Movex slatband chain conveyors on stainless steel leg assemblies with adjustable feet, designed to navigate doorways and walls.
• Multilane accumulation conveyors providing buffer capacity before and after retort basket loaders/unloaders.
• A can/bottle stripper conveyor with singulation control to keep product flow consistent.
• Food-grade solid plastic side guides and adjustable brackets for safe, reliable handling.
• Shaft-mounted Italian gear drives, with allowance for SEW inverters to enable independent line speed control.

The system was fabricated and shipped as semi-assembled kitset sections for efficient installation on site.
